shortfilmdcp.com is run by Intersectionnel Films Inc., Montréal, Québec, Canada.

You upload a short film. We turn it into a Digital Cinema Package (DCP), the file format cinemas use, and send you a link to download it. We build to one house spec: 2K, unencrypted, 24 fps. We read your file to set the format, resolution, gamma and audio layout. You don’t choose settings.

Short films only, up to 30 minutes. MOV or MP4 files. We don’t accept anything longer than 30 minutes, and there’s no way to request a quote for a longer film through this site.

You keep all rights to your film. We don’t acquire any ownership or licence in it beyond what’s needed to build your DCP and deliver it back to you. We use your file only for that purpose.

There’s no login and no dashboard. You don’t create an account to use this service.

The price is set by your film’s runtime and shown to you before you pay, in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

We build your DCP once. We don’t offer re-encodes, free or paid, for any reason. If your package doesn’t play at your venue, see Refunds.

Full detail is on the Privacy page. In short: we delete the master file we built your DCP from 7 days after we deliver your package, and your download link works for 30 days.

We may update this page. The version posted on the site on the day you pay is the one that applies to your order.

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the laws of Canada that apply in Québec.
